Synthesis
- Place ??? mg of ammonium hexamolybdate/BCN (MoO3/BCN=1/1 (wt.)) granules into quartz beaker
- Place the beaker into center of quartz tube
- Place quartz tube into tube furnace so that the beaker is in the center of the furnace
- Place 2.5 g of sulphur into small quartz tube
- Place tube with sulphur inside tube with the beaker and locate it before the beginning of the tube furnace
- Wrap strip heater around the quartz tube on the side of sulphur
- Evacuate the tube and turn on 0.9 l/h Ar flow afterwards
- Heat the furnace to 900°C at 10°/min
- Heat strip heater to 230°C
- Keep for 30 min
- Turn off the strip heater and the furnace
XRD
Measure XRD pattern on Difrey 401 device in a 20-140° range using Cr Kα souce and 300 s exposition

FTIR
Measure FTIR spectrum on Vertex 70v spectrometer using ATR mode, 4 cm-1 resolution and 32 scans/spectrum.
